Dr. Kiran Kancharla, M.D.
“Working with my patients on a personal level is what fills me with the most pride in what I do. Cancer care is more than just medicine. My patients call on me to offer them support and friendship and I am honored to oblige.”~ Dr. Kiran Kancharla
Board-certified in medicine, hematology, and oncology, Dr. Kiran Kancharla earned her medical degree from Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India, before completing her residency and fellowship training at Loyola University in Chicago. Dr. Kancharla is trained in treating a variety of malignancies as well as a broad range of benign hematology. She has a special focus on breast, gastrointestinal and lung cancers, as well as lymphomas.
The cancer diagnosis of her own father at the age of 42 with lymphoma has given Dr. Kancharla a unique perspective on cancer care. She understands what it’s like to be on the other side and how important a caring physician can be for not only the patient but the family and friends who are supporting that patient. For this reason, Dr. Kancharla makes it a priority to spend time with her patients and their families so that everyone is on the same page in terms of the personalized plan for treatment.
Dr. Kancharla treats her patients at the Las Colinas Cancer Center, as well as the Lewisville/Flower Mount Oncology Group and Southlake Oncology - all Choice Cancer Care Centers.
