Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy

Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy is a new technology that delivers highly potent biological doses of radiation to the tumor, improving the cure rate for that tumor, in a manner previously not achievable by standard conventional therapy. Stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), also called stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR). This type of radiation therapy is used where the radiation is high enough to kill the cancer but with minimal exposure to surrounding healthy organs.
