Family history increases your risk for developing cancer, but this is not all about cancer, some cancers are not inherited and it may be that you may develop cancer from the environment or poor lifestyle choices.
- Cancer Treatments are Bad for Us
Cancer treatments target the cancerous cells in the body. At times it may kill the good, healthy cells but not often. It is also dependent on the type of cancer treatment you choose.
- Cancer Is Not Real
This is an absurd thought; cancer has been around for a long time and has only become worse in recent years.
- Mobile Phones Cause Cancer
The radiation emitted by mobile phones is negligible and are too low to cause damage to cells in the body.
- Vaccines Cause Cancer
There is no vaccine that causes cancer. Vaccines actually prevent diseases. There are, in fact, two vaccines that prevent cancer and these are the HPV and HBV vaccines.
- Microwaves Cause Cancer
Radiofrequency waves emitted by microwaves are too low to destroy healthy cells in the body.
- Traumas and Injuries Cause Cancer
Because injuries and trauma wounds need X-rays and scans, these scans may lead to cancer through the rays they produce which is not true.
- Alkaline Water Reduces Risk of Developing Cancer
Your body regulates itself, especially in the digestive system, where PH balance is restored by the secretion of hydrochloric acid by the stomach linings. So, no need to worry.
- Vitamin B17 Cures Cancer
There is no concrete evidence of this, and therefore, it is only but a myth.
- Superfood Prevents Cancer
Unfortunately, your diet is just the start, there are so many other factors that cause cancer and poor diet is just one of them. So, this is not entirely reliable. Even the healthiest eater can develop cancer.
- There is a secret cure for cancer.
If it is there then why is it not in the market? Considering the profit, it would make pharmaceutical companies, it would have been disclosed long ago. But sadly, it is not there (yet).
